Meeting with Algirdas Šemeta, Commissioner for Taxation and Customs Union
On 26 April FEP led a delegation of publishers and publishers associations to a meeting with Algirdas Šemeta, Commissioner for Taxation and Customs Union. The delegation, which included the President and Vice-President of FEP, presented to the Commissioner a series of arguments in favour of ending the discrimination of electronic books in terms of VAT treatment, in view of the proposal for a reform of the EU VAT system that the EC is due to present next year.
