European Book Market Statistics 2023-24

In what is becoming a traditional appointment of the first day of the Fair, the Federation of European Publishers presents the results of its annual survey and research on the European book market statistics. The presentation will provide detailed data for the year 2023 and an advance of the market dynamics for 2024, as well as the main trends for the last 20 years.

Adobe InDesign: Progress made towards mainstreaming accessibility

Publishers have less than one year to comply with the European Accessibility Act. By June 2025, all ebooks sold in Europe will have to be in accessible format if they do not fall under one of the exceptions in the EAA. During this seminar, publishers will hear which progresses have been made to facilitate the creation of accessible ebooks on Adobe InDesign, one of the most widely used programmes to create books and ebooks worldwide.

Long Live Literature. Long Live Europe! – The European Union Prize For Literature Turns 15

The panel will feature four EUPL authors who will present their books and thus open a window to the various literary landscapes of Europe. Their discussions will reveal how each book and each story reflects its own cultural context while creating a bond that connects us all.

Tales of EUkraine event

A more than 30 years tradition at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the FEP Rendez-Vous is an open event aimed at all professionals in the book world. Each year, it focuses on European topics and policies that will have an impact on the publishing sector and this year will focus on copyright and e-lending.
