FEP Deputy Director at Incheon International Children Education Forum

On 17th and 18th December, FEP Deputy Director Enrico Turrin participated in the Incheon International Children Education Forum, in Incheon, South Korea. The event, co-hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City and Frankfurt Book Fair, was organised by the Asia Pacific Publishers Association and LitCam. Incheon will be UNESCO World Book Capital 2015, so the first day of the Forum was dedicated to reading promotion, with presentations on a range of topics such as how e-books can promote reading and the use of assistive technology to help people with dyslexia, as well as exchanges of experiences from all over the world. The second day’s programme consisted in a series of workshops on innovative education: publishers, technology companies and public administrations animated several panels dedicated to the role of reading for education, fun in education and the integration of technology and content in smart education. FEP was in the latter panel and presented the European publishing sector and its digital transition, focusing on the main issues related to the digitisation of education from the point of view of publishers
