FEDERATION OF EUROPEAN PUBLISHERS ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT

Piotr Marciszuk, CEO of Stentor Publishing, a publishing house specialised in education in Poland, has been elected as President of the FEP at its general assembly in Cascais, Portugal. His Vice-President is Pierre Dutilleul, the Managing Publisher of Editis, the second largest French publishing group. The Treasurer is Rudy Van Schoonbeek, CEO of Vrijdag UItgevers in Antwerp, Belgium. The outgoing President Fergal Tobin, Managing Director of Gill & Macmillan in Ireland was thanked for all his achievements for FEP. The Agenda of the meeting included: zero or reduced rates of value added tax for books in all formats (a resolution was adopted), e-books and their eco-system and what needs to be adapted at EU level to make them thrive.
