Buch Wien - International Book Fair
Buch Wien, otherwise known as the Vienna International Book Fair, is a quite recent newcomer on the stage of International literary events. Launched for the first time in 2008, the Viennese fair took up the challenge brilliantly. Indeed, the main purpose of its creation was to give a fresh boost to a 60-year-old event: the Viennese Book Week.
In addition to thousands of new publications on 12,000 m² of exhibition space, as the most important event in the Austrian publishing industry, Buch Wien offers visitors hundreds of stage talks, panel discussions and lectures by over 500 German-speaking and international authors and experts on topics that are currently moving the world.
