Authors, publishers and collective management organisations support licensing initiative

In a speech on 7 November Commissioner Michel Barnier suggested to focus on licensing to fulfil the needs of European citizens as far as access to cultural content is concerned.
In a joint letter, the authors (EWC), the publishers (FEP) and the collective management organisations (IFRRO) of the European book publishing sector have welcomed this initiative. See letter enclosed.
