2014 Winners of the European Union Prize for Litterature to be announced at the Frankfurt Book Fair

Wednesday, 8th of October 2014 will be no ordinary day for European litterature! Indeed, that day, Europe will celebrate some of its finest emerging authors by awarding them the prestigious European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL).

The 2014 winners will be officially announced at the 66th edition of the Frankfurt Book Fair. Androulla Vassiliou, EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth will give the keynote address. She will also be joined by Janne Teller (denmark), Marica Bodrožić (Germany, EUPL winner 2013), Mely Kiyak (Germany), Katri Lipson (Finland, EUPL winner 2013) and Michail Schischkin (Russia) who will, together, reflect on the relationships between Europe and literature.
