Marco Polillo, President of the Italian Publishers Association (AIE) confirmed as president of Confindustria Cultura Italia

Marco Polillo, president of the Italian Publishers Association (AIE) has been confirmed for his second mandate as president of Confindustria Cultura Italia, which gathers Italian associations in book publishing, music, film and multimedia industry, video games, television, and live entertainment, as well as related contents and services distributors.
Marco Polillo was confirmed by the board for the next three years: "I am honored to be able to continue our work to promote content industry and copyright - said Polillo -. We will work hard to continue to address the issues that we face on a daily basis and to represent the challenges of our sector not only at a national level, but increasingly at an international level. " The main aim of Confindustria Cultura Italia is in fact copyright protection against piracy.
Confindustria Cultura Italia represents an industry with an overall turnover of 16 billion euros and gathers, in addition to AIE (book publishing), also AESVI (video games), AFI (phonograph), AGIS (live performance), ANES (specialized periodical publishing), ANICA (film and audiovisual), APT (TV producers), FEM (music publishing), FIMI (recording industry), PMI (independent music producers), UNIVIDEO (home entertainment).
